Hello,

Please i want to know if the affiliates can get commission selling on another website that the plugin is not set up on.

E.g Website A has the setup but i want the affiliates to sell product website B.

    Hi Oladunni,

    I’m afraid not, we don’t offer such services here.
    Your idea would work only if you share your affiliate links through the other website, which is pretty standard with affiliate marketing. For example affiliate with id 307 shares his link, http://www.yoursite.com?affiliate=307 somewhere in the content of the other website.

    Hi George,

    Setting up is a bit complex for me. Do you render paid IT services at your end maybe someone can help out.

    The other idea i have is if a link is clicked that redirects to the other site with the shop will the Affiliate link still work to credit the Affiliate with the commission?

    Hey Oladunni,

    The target site is the site that runs the WC plugin and shop but also the Affiliates plugin, Pro or Enterprise. Perhaps you don’t need to export the system to a new site, but instead first create an MS installation and then add the new site you wish to have.
    What I would recommend you to do, is first clone your existing site, make it an MS and add one or more new sites to your network so that you become familiar with the concept and the administration of an MS installation. Furthermore, make sure to read the documentation of WordPress MS found here: https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/multisite/ to discover all the details behind this setup.

    Once you are confident with that, proceed and obtain Affiliates MS premium addon to finalize your setup.

    Hi George,

    I have reviewed the plugin and i think its perfect for what i need. Thanks

    I have two more questions though:

    1. My current site has the shop and the affiliate plugins and system but the other site i want to now use to sell has only the shop. Which one is the target site?

    2. Assuming the new site is the target site which should have the affiliate system. Can i export the system to the new site, and do i have to buy new premium plugins?

    3. I know this out of scope, but please how do i set up a network of sites to be able to use the Affiliate MS.

    Hi Oladunni,

    Please have a look at Affiliates MS premium extension, which is designed to work on WordPress MS. This is the closest setup I can think of, based on your description.
