by
I have send 2 emails for support and had no replies, firstly thank you for that.
The problem is that I have read and tried all the recommendations to get the affiliate totals to reflect on the totals page, but there is something missing.
T sent through my log in detains etc by email hopping that someone could take a look and let me know what I am doing wrong, but as I have said I had no reply to the emails.
I would appreciate help here I have now been trying to get my site running correctly for 4 month and its still not doing what I need it to do. If you think I wasted my money then tell me and I will look fro another solution.
Best regards
Gunther

Where do I create an account for support, can’t find it on your website.
Please provide the link for new support ticket
Best regards
Gunther
What @itthinx says is that you can create an account in your page so we can have a look to your settings. Please send us the account details to support at itthinx dot com indicating this topic in the email.
thanks.
Hi Kento, thanks for the reply.
I have now set the referral time out to 365 days.
Bill Cook then went and made a purchase on the website.
But no commissions are coming through to any of the people above him.
Sorry let me try explain what I need to happen.
When Bob Door introduced Bill Cook, Bill Cook becomes a customer and every time he makes a purchase Bob Door and the 2 customers above BOB Door must each receive commission.
This is every time Bill Cook makes a purchase on the website, weather its 10 times a day for R100.00 or once a month for R1000.00 the 3 people directly above Bill Cook must get their commission.
Can the affiliate enterprise to this?
Best regards
Gunther
Can we have access to the admin section of the site to check the settings please? Please create an account for support at itthinx dot com and send an email there with a link to the site.
Hi Kento, thanks for the reply. Yes maybe the subject should have changed, but although I am seeing the totals, I still believe they are not correct.
But saying that I will know go set up the commissions as you have described above and do some more testing.
However there is one more question at this point I would like you to clarify.
If the customer which Bill Cook introduced in your example made another purchase next month would all the people above this customer get commission again and at the same percentages?
Best regards
Gunther Wallendorf
Hi Gunther,
Whether Bill Cook and the affiliates in his upline get a commission next month is based on the referral timeout setting under Affiliates > Options. If the system recognizes the cusomter as having been referred by the affiliate within a month, then they all get their commissions, otherwise they won’t.
Cheers
Hi Antonio,
Thanks for the reply, but we seem to be talking in circles.
This is the order of the affiliates.
1) Gunther Wallendorf
2) Peter Parker
3) Clark Pot
4) John James
5) Bob Door
6) Bill Cook
so if each person introduced the person below them, why do other people get commission when Gunther Wallendorf makes a purchase it does not make any sense. Commission must only work from the bottom up and each time someone makes a purchase.
Best regards
Gunther
Hi Gunther,
I’ve had a look at the conversation here and to be honest I’m not sure what exactly the problem is. The topic title says “Affiliate Totals not showing” but this can’t be the issue as the totals section is working fine. It seems to me that you are trying to set up a configuration which is either not supported by the system, or you are expecting a different outcome – you are asking “… why do other people get commission when …” – please provide the exact steps you have undertaken that lead to this conclusion.
To clarify, let me give you a simple example. Assume affiliates A, B and C where A is the first to join the affiliate program, B has been referred by A and C has been referred by B. So B and C are in A’s downline, which means that:
– If B refers a sale, B gets a commission and A gets a commission. B’s commission is determined under Affiliates > Settings. A’s commission is based on the rate set for Level 1 under Affiliates > Tiers.
– If C refers a sale, C gets a commission and so do B and A. C’s commission is determined under Affiliates > Settings. B’s commission in this case is based on the rate set for Level 1 under Affiliates > Tiers; A’s commission in this case is the one for Level 2 in the same section.
For your case, if Bill Cook refers a customer and the customer makes a purchase, Bill Cook will get a commission based on Affiliates > Settings. Assuming that your tiers go 5 levels deep, Bob Door gets a commission as set for Level 1 under Affiliates > Tiers. John James gets a commission as per Level 2, Clark Pot as per Level 3, Peter Parker as per Level 4 and finally Gunther Wallendorf gets a commission as per the rate set for Level 5.
That’s how the system works, if you expect anything different, it either isn’t supported or the setup has to be adapted.
Hi Antonio,
Once again thank you for looking into this and assisting.
I logged in and had a look and yes the write people received commission, but when I go to the Woocommerce orders I see it was Gunther Wallendorf who placed the order and not Bob Door, in which case no commission should have been paid to anyone. Please see if you agree.
Best regards
Gunther Wallendorf
Hi,
The system does not generate commissions when an affiliate (Bob Door) makes a purchase, but when an user (Gunther W) referred by an affiliate makes a purchase.
If you want that Bob D. generates commissions, then Bob must to use his custom affiliate’s link.
cheers
Hi Antonio,
Everything is set up as you have suggested.
Created the following customers
Peter Parker who introduced
Clark Pot who introduced
John James who introduced
Bob Door who introduced
Bill Cook
So these guys are directly below each other, which means if Bob Door makes a purchase today or in six months time again. John James will get 5% commission on the total goods purchased, Clark Pot will get 8% commission on the total goods purchased and Peter Parker will get 12% of total goods purchased, this will be the same each time Bob Door makes a purchase for evermore. No one else should get anything.
At the moment there is no commission being passed though to any affiliates at all.
Best regards
Gunther
Hi,
Not if “Bob Door makes a purchase then …”, it is if “Bob Door get a referral then …”
I have made a purchase using the Bob’s link and you can see that all get commissions.
cheers
Hi Antonio,
I made the changes as recommended above.
in Affiliate settings I changed it to Affiliates_WC-Metod:::Product_rates
and under the Woocommerce intergrator I set the default rate to 1.0.
I then went and made 5 purchases from different people.
But now not one cent commission was paid to anyone.
What doesn’t make sense to me is that under tiers I have set the rates up already so why would I need a product rate?
Please help
Best regards
Gunther Wallendorf
Hi,
according to your current settings, your commissions are: 1% (level 0) – 5% (level 1) – 8% (level 2) – 12% (level 3)
The level 0 (affiliate who shares the link) rate is set in Affiliates->Woocommerce Integration (or in product’s edit page).
Your last referrals are assigned to Direct (maybe your cookies are expired).
cheers
Thank you will forward you a mail.
Best regards
Gunther
Hi,
you must set in Affiiates->Settings: Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates
and set a default rate in Affiliates->Woocommerce Integration for affiliates level 0.
Other options seem correct.
cheers
Hi Antonio,
Thanks for the reply.
I changed the default commission to 0.0
and I changed the Default referral calculation to: WC_Method:product rate.
You know I have a three tier system and my level percentages are level 1: 0.05, Level 2: 0.08, and level 3: 0.12.
I then got one of my referrals at level 1 to make a purchase, the commission passed through to me was 0.00.
I went into the Affiliate settings and set the Default referral calculation back to: Referral amount method.
I got my 1st level referral to make another purchase to the value of 572.36, my commission was passed through as 57.23 which doesn’t make sense as this is 10% of the total. I do not have a 10% setting on any level.
Please let me know what I am doing wrong?
Best regards
Gunther Wallendorf
Hi,
It seems that something is wrong. Please sned us dashboard admin access to support at itthinx dot com, and we’ll have a look (please indicate this topic in the email).
cheers
Hi,
sorry, do not know what has happened with the emails.
In Affiliates->totals, you have values placed in the filter, if you clear the filter, you can see your totals.
I’ve checked your settings, and it is a bit strange.
-Your default commission is 100% (1.0) ?
-In Affiliates->Settings you must select Affiliates_WC_Method:product_rates
cheers
