Affiliate Registration Not Working

Hi there,
I’m having trouble with affiliate registration. I have searched through google and your forums and I’m very confused.

I can sign up a person if they are already a member of my site by logging in with their details and then registering as an affiliate.

But if they are not already a wordpress subscriber I fill in the form to click register and it just keeps saying ERROR: Entered credentials are incorrect.

I’m really lost and not sure what to do. the link to the site is http://wutaodance.com/affiliate-area-2/

This page was set up from the ‘generate’ button in the Options area. I also have ‘allow affiliate registration’ ticked.

Looking forward to some assistance thanks

Carly

  1. Closing this topic, please open a new one if you need help.

  2. Zero affiliate referrals are being logged or credited?

I am using SuperSlider-Login plugin and did try de-activating it, but same result (does it make a difference if I delete it completely or not?

Any ideas? Is there a setting in S2Member I should check. Does it not work for free subscribers and only record paid member referrals.

The free version did not work, so I upgraded to the Pro S2Member integration version for $59, as I use S2Member, but still not logging referrals correctly. Everything else works perfectly, even the affiliate page looks good and is working:

    1. Hi Stewart,

Please see this comment on how to adjust the Registration Notifications. With that set up, it will also record referrals on registration.

  3. I am having trouble getting this to work also. I followed the directions and uploaded files to my WordPress which is a membership website using S2, but I cannot get your product to work. The pages I created for affiliate registration etc can’t be seen unless you are already an S2 member. I read the forums and watched the videos (spending hours trying to get your product to work), but it just can’t be seen unless you are already an S2 member and even with that, the page will not accept the affiliate information as the above noted. Perhaps I am missing something simple here?

    1. Hi Lisa, this sounds like you have a caching issue or that the page is protected by S2. If registered members can see it, but normal visitors don’t, then it’s not an issue with the plugin itself but with what controls who can view the pages.

thanks for your reply I will try this. Just a quick thought. This is on a multisite installation. would that cause any problems?

    1. If you have something like tweak #3 in place, it obscures the actual reason that could give a clue as to what’s happening. If you have such a filter in place, comment it out and check what the actual error says and post it here please. Sometimes CAPTCHA plugins interfere where they shouldn’t.

  5. Hi,
it seems a conflict with a plugin related to login/register.
Please try to disable all plugins, and activate one by one to detect the conflict.
    cheers
