Affiliate logout redirect
—
by
Hello, how can I change what page affiliates are redirected to when they log out? Currently it redirects them to the following:
sitename.com//wp-login.php?loggedout=true
But when an affiliate logs in again from that page they are taken to My Account (where they can view orders, etc.) I want them to go to the Affiliate page, not My Account. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

Okay. I see that they are Subscribers.
It would be nice if there was a special role of Affiliate created for affiliates.
Hi there,
Yes it’s normal subscribers. The affiliate entries are related to normal user accounts when they register using the form. The redirect based on the Subscriber role would be appropriate for that (using Peter’s Login Redirect).
Thanks for the suggestion with the role, there’s a plugin you can use for that: http://www.itthinx.com/plugins/affiliates-auto-role/
Cheers
I tried using aff_access as a “level to determine a logout URL, but that didnt’ work.
How can one do this with Peter’s Login Redirect?
What kind of accounts does Affiliate create? Or what kind of role?
I don’t see them even listed in the WP User section. Are they some sort of special account?
Antonio,
Thanks for the redirect plugin info (which might be useful for my needs. I do have a question that relates to this…
After a new affiliate signs up on the registration form wordpress sends them an email with their user name and new password. But it has a link to the standard wp login page. Since I am using this in conjunction with woo commerce and when they login it takes them to a shopping card members page – not the Affiliate Area.
Can I change the email’s link to it points to my affiliate area log in?
Cheers.
Hi,
SB Welcome Email Editor plugin seems to do that.
cheers
Hi,
this is controlled by wordpress. You can use another wordpress plugin, for example Peter’s Login Redirect
