Affiliate id in notification email

Hello,

In the notifications area for the Administrator notifications for the Active email that is sent when an affiliate is auto-approved…

I’d like to include the affiliate name and ID in that email. The default setup doesn’t include that info. Here’s the email I have setup:

New affiliate registration on your site [site_title]:

Name: [affiliate_name]
ID: [affiliate_id]
Username: [user_login]
E-mail: [user_email]
Company: [company]
Loan Officer (if any): [loan_officer]

It isn’t displaying the name or ID. What do I have wrong?

    Hey Beau,

    You’re welcome. The user_id is different than the affiliate_id, the affiliate entry is another record of data that is mapped to the user_id.
    When the registration email is sent, the affiliate entry for a user is not created yet, that’s why the affiliate_id cannot be pulled at this stage.

    Hey George, I really appreciate the response and the explanation. Question: Is the [user_id] the same as the affiliate ID? I would guess it isn’t but I wanted to ask.

    And why can’t an affiliate ID be pulled and displayed within a registration email? Isn’t an ID assigned to a user upon sign-up?

    Hi there,

    Welcome back to our support forum.

    The notification tokens [affiliate_id] and [affiliate_name] you have used are not valid for new affiliate registrations, these are applicable only for new referral notifications. The tokens in the documentation are split in two different sections in the documentation. That’s why you don’t see the actual values when used in the emails.

    What you can use instead is [username] and [user_id] which are the username, user_id of the user that has registered as an affiliate on your site.

    Last but not least and beyond this support request, it seems that your license for Affiliates Pro has expired since June 2024. You can renew it by purchasing the plugin through the shop and regain access to support forums, updates for Affiliates Pro and its integrations, for another year since the date of purchase.
