Add users to groups

Consider existing users that already are in groupA and groupB being imported again with only groupC noted down in the second import. I have tested this and the user loses membership of groupA and groupB, and will be only a member of groupC.

Is there a way to have the user be additionally given membership of groupC retaining the existing memberships? If not, can you take this as a suggestion?

    Can you please send me a part of your import file to try it locally? A minimum content of one or two user records should be enough for me to test and you can send it to my personal email: george at itthinx dot com.

    Thing is, I had tried that and expected the group to be added. It wasn’t the association with the former groups was lost and the group from the second import was added.

    Hi Franz, welcome back to our support channel.

    FYI, the import functionality of the plugin provides also the option to Update existing users, which as the name indicates allows you to add extra data to your existing users.
    Why don’t you give it a try and let me know if you were successful.

      I am making a fool out of myself in this forum 🙁
      You are – of course – correct!
      It went a bit like rubber duck debugging. When I tried to excatly document what was happening it worked.
