A Must Have for promotion and affiliates

We have been happy so far and found many answers in the doc’s so good job there.
We have been unable to find a key feature we need. The current affiliate urls only post the referral cookie if they go to the root/main page. But we want to set the affiliate cookie when we target certain categories or products for example.

https://www.extremeleadprogram.com/product-category/grow-your-list/done-for-you-list-building/?ref=2&cmid=3 <==

When that was clicked nothing set in the cookies to award a referral.

Any guidance is appreciated. 😉

  1. Hi Michael,

    I’m glad you found documentation useful and that you enjoy our plugin.

    Every link to the site running the Affiliates plugin, can become an affiliate link as long as you add the suffix mentioned for each affiliate under Affiliates > Manage Affiliates. There are other ways to retrieve / render an affiliate link but so far your affiliate link is valid.

    I’ve tried it myself and the affiliate id, campaign id where both stored successfully. Please have a look at the screenshot I uploaded here, https://ibb.co/kYFDu5. The cookie set is wp_affiliates for the affiliate with id 2 for the campaign with id 3.

    Since you are selling your services with WooCommerce, make sure that the Affiliates WooCommerce integration is installed, activated and properly set. You can see a complete guide for this integration in the documentation here. If still though your referrals are not recorded, please enable debugging and provide me with temporary admin access to your site by sending the credentials to george@itthinx.com. If though your site is running live at the moment, you can also provide me with access to a staging copy of your site.

    Kind regards,
    George
