403 Permission Error on files uploaded to Groups File Access

I’m getting errors on all the files I’ve uploaded recently through the Groups Files Plugin. The files will upload properly. They appear on the FTP directory. They have what I think are the right permissions (644). But when I try to access the links, I get a 403 Permissions error, even through I’m logged in as an admin.

This has not affected any older files. They work just fine, so all indications is that the plugin is functioning.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for using Groups and Groups File Access addon, we appreciate your choice.

    Can you please provide a few more details on the plugin versions currently installed on your system for Groups and Groups File Access?
    Also, which way did you try to access these newly uploaded files, was it with one of the shortcodes like
    [groups_file_url], [groups_file_link] or directly in the hosting directory?
