Affiliates plugin integration for AddThisAddThis focuses on “Better Website Marketing” and provides “Website add-ons that help you get more shares, follows and conversions”.

Description

Affiliates AddThis

This plugin integrates Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise with AddThis and their Smart Website Tools by AddThis WordPress plugin.

The integration converts website links into affiliate links for affiliates when they log in. Instead of sharing the plain URL to the page an affiliate views, the affiliate shares that URL converted into an affiliate link.

Access to this extension is included with Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Enterprise.

With Affiliates Pro or Affiliates Enterprise and the Smart Website Tools plugin, the extension requires no specific setup – URLs to pages shared are converted into affiliate links automatically when affiliates are logged in.

  1. Will be very grateful if you can reply for the following
    1) Can I add custom field in registration form (address) and have access to it from DB table?
    2) Will want to display product detail page only when it has affiliate id, else it will display it but no Add to cart button. Is this possible?

    1. Hi Jayesh,

      Sure, regarding these:

      1) Have a look at the available form plugin integrations that support registration: https://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/setup/settings/integrations/

      2) You would have to customize the templates accordingly. You could then use [affiliates_is_affiliate] to render content conditionally.

      Cheers

    Hi,

    2 pre-sale questions:

I want to be sure that social sharing, especially with LinkedIn, is working.
Due to LinkedIn API changes, we can’t share blog posts anymore with affiliate references in the urls.
Can you confirm that with addthis or addtoAny, urls with affiliates ID will be correctly shared?

Is it possible to use your API to store affiliates datas in our CRM?

    Thanks for your time!

    Regards,
    Franck

    1. Hi Franck,

      Thanks for asking!

Sharing affiliate links via AddThis works fine, it doesn’t really matter whether affiliates want to share via LinkedIn or any other platform as the integration provides the appropriate affiliate link automatically.

For affiliate data, I suppose the export facilities will be suitable to import the affiliates’ data into your CRM – see exporting with Affiliates Pro or exporting with Affiliates Enterprise respectively. Referral data can also be exported as described here.

      Cheers!

  3. good day, I am a newbie and I do not program, however I created the page in wordpress and I only need commissions for affiliates, I need advice to decide what to buy.

Question 1. The affiliate license for $ 59 is per year?
Question 2. Install affiliate and do not bring fashioned pesos? Can we enable weights?
Question 3. The language to the public come in Spanish?
Question 4. We are a representative agent not sellers then we do not charge money, our work would be the following: a customer chooses a product, clicks on acquiring with zero value, without paying, we ask for the documentation and chat we close the sale , then, the click to buy does not mean that the sale is closed.
How can I configure the system so that the commission does not assign it when I click buy, but when the sale closes?

    1. Hi Erney,

      #1 Currently yes
#2 For currencies that are not included, you can add them using a filter affiliates_supported_currencies – see http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/api/filters/ where the filter is described
#3 It is translated into Spanish, you can also create a locale-specific variant
#4 I’m not sure about this case, but you can create referrals manually – maybe you might want to consider one of the integrations with Ninja Forms or Formidable Forms if you just want to track leads.

      Cheers

  4. I thought you could work some kind of customization in order for it to work with this kleo share button. And can the “add to any” addon work with it.

    1. Hi, please send me an email to antonio[at]itthinx[dot]com with a copy of your theme, and I’ll try to integrate with Affiliates, but I can not assure you that I get it, since each theme works differently.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    1. Thanks,
The share buttons that you have in your products, are not added by the AddThis plugin. These buttons are added by your Kleo theme, this is the reason because the affiliate param is not automatically added.
Maybe youcan disable the theme’s share buttons and enable the addthis buttons.
      Kind regards,
      Antonio B.

  6. Am not sure the sharing features on my theme is addthis. Can this work for other bookmark features.

    1. Hi Olufemi,
You also have available the integration with AddToAny.
If you give us an url, maybe we can find the system that your theme uses.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  7. It does not work as expected on the product pages of woocommerce and also pages of wordpress.

      Hi Darnell,
Yes, using this integration, when an affiliate uses the addthis button (in products/pages/posts …), the link shared includes the affiliate param.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.
