needs to be switched to https in the plugin.

    Thanks

    1. Hi Joe, thanks for the suggestion!

      1. If I have affiliates pro but can’t afford to renew can I downgrade to Affiliates and save/transfer my affiliate data?

        1. Hi Emily,

Thanks for asking, yes you can do that. Just keep in mind that if you currently are using rates, make sure to set the commission rate accordingly as described here.

          Cheers

Hello I have installed affiliate free plugin for woocommerc , I need change decimals posicion from two decimals(0.00) to eigth (0.00000000) can you help me, how I make this change please.

    1. Hi Martin,

You can use the AFFILIATES_REFERRAL_AMOUNT_DECIMALS constant as explained on http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/api/filters/

      Cheers

  3. I have the Affiliate plugin installed, I have added an affiliate but when I check if it works, the sale is not referred to the affiliate but appears as direct.
I tried with another affiliate and neither.
In addition, that even using the link one or the other, it always appears the same in traffic. That is, whether you enter? Affiliate = 2 or? Affiliate = 3, it is always displayed when you visit? Affiliate = 3.

I have Varnish cache, but I have contacted the hosting and sent them your tutorial of the problem with this plugin, but it still does not work.

I hope you can help me.
    Thank you

    1. Hi Alejandra,

There are several causes that can conflict with the system, we have outlined the most common ones in the Troubleshooting section of the documentation – although it seems that you have already found the entry on Varnish, I would recommend to review the other points to see if any of those might apply to your setup.

For testing purposes, I can recommend to first set up a staging site in the same environment as your production site – turn off all non-essential plugins there and also turn off the caching system (Varnish cache in your case) to run your first tests. Once you have assured that the referrals are recorded with that configuration, you can turn on other individual components (plugins) to see if they affect the proper functioning. This way you can identify what exactly is interfering and review the component’s settings to adjust them or decide not to use that particular component.

You should also run your tests with debugging enabled, just to make sure that your setup is not producing any hidden errors – also make sure that your system is running with enough PHP memory allocated, sometimes it is just sufficient to increase the PHP memory limit so that your server is able to run all plugins that you have enabled.

      Cheers

    Hey guys, I0m using WooCommerce.

I’m wondering, does the affiliate plugin store referrals?

What I am asking is: if the customer returns to the website on his own to make a repeat purchase (not through the specific referral link), will the commission still be accredited to the affiliate?

Can you confirm it is possible to do that?

    1. Hi Vincent,

There is an extension Affiliates Permanent which I suppose is what you are looking for. Once the customer has been referred, future purchases are credited to the referring affiliate.

      Cheers

  5. Any plans for updating the plugin? I believe it has not been updated for the past 2 years.

    1. Hi, it’s been updated a few days ago.

  6. There is option to open the affilate link in new window? (blank)

    1. Hi Shauli,
      You can use the [affiliates_url] shortcode, ex. <a href="[affiliates_url]" target="_blank" >[affiliates_url]</a>
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  7. I need a plugin that lets me keep an eye on the affiliate links spread through out my website. I’d like one place where I can change a link if I find a brand I like better, where I can see how many hits the link if getting, choose nofollow where necessary, like that. I am currently using pretty link which has those features but I just found out I can’t use it for Amazon.

Will this plugin give me those features?

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Sally,

Not all of them but the features you mention can be added. I’ll take note of that for its enhancements.

      Cheers

  8. Hi guys,

I’ve checked the pages and I have to admit I could not see them cause they where hidden in the English section. Now, my question is if I have to download another plugin for the login.

Let’s say in the end that the setup I got in my mind is just a registration page (which is done), then a login-logout page, and a page where the affiliates can see hits of their referrals, sales and stuff like that. Is that possible on the free version?

    Thanks for your support

    Cheers

    1. Hi,

Yes that’s all possible with the free version, I’d suggest you have a look at the documentation pages and especially the Setup section where you can follow the different sections and should get a much clearer picture.

By the way, this discussion is on the wrong plugin page … please post questions related to the Affiliates (plural) plugin on this page 🙂

      Cheers

  9. Hi there,

Before purchasing the Pro licence I tried to figure out how the basic plugin works.

What is puzzling me is that none of the shortcodes given on the itthinx.com webiste works except for the registration shortcode that actually gives a nice form on page and works fine for what concern my tests.

    On Settings->>Pages is written:

These pages containing Affiliates shortcodes have been detected :

    Affiliate archieve
    Register
    Affiliate Login
    Affiliate Area

but when I click on them they give back a 404 error.

Can you give me a slight help to figure how to set this up before upgrading please?

Is it required a more proficient shorcode knowledge to adjust that? (if so the webmaster that works with me would be delighted by your reply).

    Thanks you

    1. Hi,

You seem to have several pages that have shortcodes related to the Affiliates plugin but none of them is published. I’ve tried to access your affiliate area page for example and am getting a 404 on that. The easiest for you to do is recreate the affiliate area from the Settings page and make sure that it is accessible. Once you have that done, use that page on Settings > Pages. Please make sure that you get this working before you decide using Pro – you should have the free system working to make sure that there are no conflicts with your current setup.

      Cheers

  10. Do you have screenshots anywhere that shows what the front end of this plugin looks like where the affiliates would login to check their stats?

    1. Hi Howie,
please have a look to the screenshots page.
      Thanks,
      Antonio B.

  11. Hi there,
    I know this might not be the best page to write this comment ;
I’ve purchased “affiliates share” plugin from codecanyon, and realized that you have removed from there and also your website.
Is that plugin not supported any more? Is there any update for the plugin? How can I re-download it if I ever lost the download files?
    Thank you,
    Ashkan

    1. Hi Ashkan,

Thanks for asking and for using the plugin you mention. You’re right, this page is not about that plugin, but a tool used for affiliates to handle their keyword-based links automatically. Anyhow, the features of the plugin you mention have been integrated in Affiliates Pro, if you have any questions about that, please post a comment on this page.

      Cheers

  12. If I buy a single license of Enterprise then decide I like it, can I upgrade to the 5 licenses by paying the difference in the future? I have it somewhat working with the free version using it in conjuction with Paid Business Listings plugin by hacking it up some and wanted to be sure it works w/ Enterprise version before taking a bigger risk with 5 licenses. The product is really great so far on the FREE and I managed 20K+ affiliate partners at a past employer who had very expensive software running their programs.

    1. Hi Steve,

Many thanks for the feedback on the Affiliates plugin (BTW you’re posting on the Affiliate plugin page which is another plugin 😉 )

If you have any suggestions or improvements you would like to see in any of the versions, please let me know. You mention some modifications you have done – if they’re useful in general, I’d be happy to consider to add them.

To your question … yes, you can upgrade later on.

      Cheers

  13. How i get affiliates menu of Stastic and Report. Can you please help me.

    Thanks in Advance

    1. Do you refer to this plugin or the Affiliates (plural) plugin? For Affiliates see http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/

  14. Hi Antonio,

Sorry for bothering you and I appreciate your reply. Thanks for the detailed reply and I’ll purchase the affiliate permanent plugin.

Regarding part 1 of the question, the commission for all my products is 1$. So there is no variation of rates by the product. But the problem is if someone buys 1 item at a time, the affiliate gets his commission of 1$. But if the referral buys more than 1 items at once, let’s just say 20 items, the affiliate still gets only 1$. So is it possible for the affiliate to get 20$ since 20 items (quantity) were sold. Please let me know if this is possible and if yes, do I have to buy Affiliate pro or enterprise.Thanks.

    1. antonio Avatar

      You need Affiliates Pro version.
      cheers

  15. Hi Admin,

First of all Hats Off to Your SUPER AWESOME plugin!!!

I installed your free version of Affiliate and I really like how it functions. So now I need to purchase your add ons and I just have 2 questions.

    1) I want my affiliates to make a fixed amount per product purchased by the referral. Let’s just assume that the commission for an affiliate is 1$. Right now how the plugin works is, if some buys 1 item, the affiliate gets 1$. At the same time if a referral checks out 4 items at once, the affiliate still gets only 1$. What I need him is to make 4$ for that transaction. So in short Is this per item fixed rate commission possible in the free version or in your “Affiliate Products” add on? Please respond so that I can purchase it.

    2) Right now the plugin allows only the referral for a temporary period of time until the cookie expires. I want the referral to be a permanent referral of the particular affiliate meaning the affiliate has to make a commission from his referral always when he makes a purchase. There shouldn’t be a time restriction. Is it possible with “Affiliate Permanent”?

Also please let me know if these two options are possible in “affiliate pro”. So I can decide to purchase these two plugins or one “Afffiliate pro”. Once again, thanks for your GREAT plugin. Please try to make a quick response so that I can make the purchase since finding a plugin for this is feature has been too hard and now I finally seem to have found the right plugin.Thanks.

    Best Wishes,
    Revo

      Hi,
1.- With the Pro/Enterprise versions you can set rates by product. You don’t need Affiliates Product, you need Affiliates Pro or Enterprise (if you need multi-tiers)
2.- You need to set a cookie timeout, e.g. 365. With Affiliates Permanent once a customer generate a referral to an affiliateA. All futures purchase of this customer will generate referrals to affiliateA even without the cookie exists.
      cheers

  16. Hi,

Is it possible to use the Affiliates plugin to assign to a user a percentage of all the sales of a certain product?

    Best,
    Bogdan

    1. Hi Bogdan,

Thanks for asking, the Affiliates Products extension is used for that.

      Cheers

  17. Hi – according to documentation http://www.itthinx.com/documentation/affiliates/affiliate-program-management/managing-referrals/payments/ there should be an option called ‘Generate PayPal Mass Payment File’ on the page Affiliates/Totals.

I don’t have that option. Do I need to change a setting or has this feature been removed from the free version?

    Thx

    1. Hi Stefan,

Thanks for asking, the generation options are features of the Pro and Enterprise versions.

  18. OK I will get that plugin and install it I have a new issue though and I had to turn the plugin off as we were getting about 10 rogue new spam users signing up each day how can I get that to stop?

    1. Hi Dean, you can use Affiliates reCAPTCHA for that. BTW these questions should rather be posted on the Affiliates (plural) plugin page as this one is about the Affiliate (singular) plugin.

  19. I have installed the free version of the plugin and we like the way it works, the only thing missing is a way for Affiliate to manually put in a lead. This client will have boots on the ground looking for people that may need to have the windows tinted in their home or business and they want those people to be able to log in to the system and put in the name and contact info for the lead and then the system tracks the referral like it would if it were someone coming in from a link.

Is there a way to have this plugin do that if so which product do I need to purchase? If this is not something you offer now could we get a quote on a custom solution. All we would need is a form to show up when they are logged in on their account that would let them fill in the info and submit it as a referral.

    1. Hi Dean,

There’s a very simple solution for which you don’t need to purchase anything. If you set up a form using Contact Form 7 and enclose the form with the [affiliates_is_affiliate] shortcode and trace back the form submission to the affiliate through the user account, then you can simply add the referrals manually under Affiliates > Referrals.

      Would that work for you?

      1. so the affiliate would fill out the form and then we would have then go back to the system and put it in again?

        1. Or you can use the integration for Contact Form 7 and let the affiliates submit it. The only thing is they would have to visit their link before submitting so it is credited to them.

          1. can i get detailed instructions on how to do that. as long as when the affiliate can log into his account and fill out the form and it goes straight into the system that is what we need

            1. Pretty simple, install https://wordpress.org/plugins/affiliates-contact-form-7/ and under Affiliates > Contact Form 7 you have instructions on how it’s used 🙂

I’m getting “you do not have sufficient permission to access this page” error when I go to setup the affiliates plugin. Any thoughts on why?

    1. You should be logged in as an admin or with a role that has sufficient rights to administrate the affiliate sections.
