Affiliate Marketing Page Not Possible – Need Help

Using Woocommerce – all plugins/extensions/themes updated etc etc..

At present, Affiliate Pro is designed to have an ‘Affiliate Area’ where everything sits in one page from before having registered right through to being registered and logging in.

Problem: Using your form code to register affiliates on a custom page with marketing material on it to attract affiliates, works fine during registration But as I cannot change the URL that the affiliate is emailed to login to their account, this causes a major problem and is extremely unprofessional because the affiliate proceeds to the login URL they were just emailed by Affiliate Pro, wich just happens to be the (WordPress Login Page) – They are then taken to the Woocommerce Customer Area instead of their affiliate area.

I’m sure you see the problem here. How do I fix it?

  1. Hi,

The affiliate area you refer to is the basic generated page. But it’s not limited to that page. In fact, you can create tons of pages for your affiliates with subsections. For example, you can have a separate registration page, a banner page, stats page etc. You just need to set the pages up using the shortcodes that are provided. The generated basic page is very useful as it serves its purpose for a quick setup and as an example on how to use the basic shortcodes.

See the documentation on Shortcodes for details on the additional options you have.

When new affiliates register on the generated affiliate page, they receive the email and log in for their username and password on the same page. If they log in using the link in the email, if they are customers, they are brought to their WooCommerce My Account page – this is according to your WooCommerce settings.

Also interesting in this context are some of the plugins mentioned here Useful Plugins. For example, Peter’s Login Redirect can be helpful.
