IE10 image not resizing

Hello,
In Internet Explorer 10.0 the background image isn’t going fullscreen even though that is what I have the display mode set to. Do you have any ideas of things I could try? I have tried removing all CSS and extra JS but nothing effected it.

The dev URL is the same one I emailed you at support at itthinx regarding the other forum topic on fading the captions.
Thanks,
Cindy

  1. Have you changed anything? It works fine on IE10 here.

No, haven’t changed anything. I just checked in 10.0 in a real browser and on litmus.com and they both cut off. Screenshots:

      1. This is what I get in IE10, still looks fine – https://www.dropbox.com/s/qa1ujw9l47vk8gw/watertech-ie10.png

Note that with litmus most probably it won’t give you a proper rendering because the Javascript needs to do its job to fit things.

I’d check the browser settings, compatibility mode etc.

          Hi Kento,
We are still having this problem in IE 10.0.9 Browser Mode IE10, Document Mode: Standards. Images do not fill the screen, leaves lots of white space on right and bottom on my 24” screen. Would not notice on a smaller 15” screen. In your screenshot from before it looks like the browser is very narrow – can you widen it and see what happens? Site: http://watertech.wpengine.com

          Thanks,
          Cindy

I think the plugin is not jiving well with the 320 Press WP-Bootstrap theme http://320press.com/themes/wp-bootstrap/

I am not sure if it’s the actual theme, or boostrap itself. I was able to reproduce the problem on a brand new WP install and fresh download and install of wp-bootstrap: http://translostlation.com/sample-page/

I tested with a totally different bootstrap theme called “The Bootstrap”, and it has the problem too: http://wordpress.org/themes/the-bootstrap …This theme uses Bootstrap v2.2.2 css and js v3.0.0.

The 320Press wp-bootstrap theme mentioned in my previous comment uses Bootstrap v2.3.1 css and js v2.3.1.

I also tested with Rachel’s wp-bootstrap theme, same problem. http://bootstrapwp.rachelbaker.me – she uses Bootstrap 2.3 CSS and js v3.0.0.

          3. Hi Cindy,

In bootstrap.css you have rules that lead to the img having max-width: 100%; width: auto; height: auto; – these rules are too hungry, see also this comment with a similar situation.

            Cheers

          4. Kento – You are awesome. That worked. Thanks!!!

            1. Thanks 🙂
