Amount empty after Referral
—
by
Hello itthinx -Team!
We’ve been using Affiliate Pro as our affiliate platform however whenever someone refers us even though the rates are all properly set up, the amount just stays empty. So it basically displays a referral but no earnings, and the csv for Paypal also has no fees in it.
You can see how we set that up here: Referral, Rate, and Amounts.
We’d appreciate help on this.
Kind regards,
Sarah

Hi Eugen,
Thanks so much for the reply!
So the thing is that I am selling various things in my shop – one of them is a course – the other few are coaching packages. The Affiliate rates should only be valid for the course and not for EVERYTHING in the shop, that’s why I didn’t set up a fallback rate for this and specified it for the product.
You can see here the various rates I set up for people and for products only.
The order in the screenshot here that I mentioned in the post above was only a TEST order that my VA made with a referral link to specifically that product.
So we set up the client as well as the product and “test bought” this 5 Euro product. So technically the affiliate with the referral number that we made the sale with should have made 1 Euro from it – which as mentioned above, is not the case, unfortunately. It registers the sale, but it does not show any amount for it.
Basically what we would like is to give the affiliates 20% off the net price (so before tax) from every course bought.
I hope I answered all your questions!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
I trust the weekend was great. Thanks for being a valued customer, and for reaching out.
After going through your screenshots, it is noticeable that you specified a rate for a particular affiliate(Monica) and WC product only, hence the rate would only apply to Monica(the affiliate) if she refers a new sale of the specified product.
If you would like Monica to get their referral rates irrespective of the product please leave the Rates integration setting as WooCommerce and make sure you don’t have any product in the Object settings of Rates.
It is also worth mentioning that if you would like that every affiliate on the system is given a rate based only on new sales, then you would need to remove any assigned Affiliate to the rates in question.
I’d love to provide you with detailed help. But I would need more information.
– Please I would love that you share the referred order details
– How you plan on calculating affiliates’ commissions; so that I can send you more specific settings to use.
Note: In most scenarios, it is very important that you set a more general rate for affiliates, such that when a special rate like that of Monicas’ doesn’t apply it would have something to fall back to. But then again we could help you have the most appropriate settings in place if you can tell us how you intend to calculate commissions.
I hope this helps. We remain at your disposal.
Warm regards,
Eugen
I wanted to check if there are any updates because my post is also not yet published but apparently it’s been sent because it gives me a “duplicate comment” message when I try to resend it again!
Thank you I’d really appreciate your help! <3
