Hello,
Our website (discoveryourpathu.com) sells online courses and the way instructors are paid is using rates.

So course is created with affiliate as author, rates are set up using the woocommerce integration and linking affiliate to each product and setting a rate.

I’m a tiny bit worried since courses are selling but there are no payments showing up on the relevant affiliates account. Really really need your help in this, as it may have catastrophic consequences when month end shows up and our accountant can’t find what to pay who.

If you need admin, ping me and I’ll set it up for you.

Thanks
Sam

    Yes it’s a separate menu item in your Dashboard.

    Hi Sam,

    Let me give you a brief description on what would happen when a sale is referred.
    Assume that a customer is about to buy Marketing Masterminds with Misty Flanagan (MISTY-001). If the customer has been referred by Misty Flanagan, then the affiliate MF will get 90% commission of the course’s price. If the customer is referred by another affiliate, then the affiliate will get a commission based on the general rate if set.

    If on the other hand you wish to give a commission to MF whenever someone buys Marketing Masterminds with Misty Flanagan (MISTY-001), then you need to go to Affiliates Products > WooCommerce find that product using product id or name, set the desired affiliate, set a rate and then Save.

    Kind regards,
    George

      Hi George,
      Yep, I’ve done the latter: whomever buys the course (regardless of referrer) Misty gets .90 (the rate I set up).

      I’ve sold a couple of courses as an Author and when I click into my affiliate area there’s nothing there which is the reason for the ticket. Its the second scenario which doesn’t appear to be functioning.

        Ahhhhh, okay I gotcha, allay my last.

        Thanks for the help 🙂 I did see that “Affiliates Products” thing. I just used Affiliates > Rates and filled it in that way (per my last ticket I think) 🙂

    Hi Sam,

    Thanks for using our plugin.
    I think it’s better to have a look at your setup. Also, it might be useful to enable debugging in case there is something wrong. You may send temp admin credentials to george at itthinx dot com for me to have a look.
    To enable debugging, edit your wp-config.php file and do the following:
    Replace this line:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );

    with these lines:

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );

    Kind regards,
    George
