Manually Apply Referrals to Subscriptions and Past Orders
—
by
We recently migrated our site/ecommerce to WordPress so I have 200+ active subscriptions that migrated. Am I able to manually apply the refferals to the subscriptions so on the next ongoing charges, the partner receives credit?
Second part – Can I do so on past orders as well?
Thank you!

Hi Laura,
You can add as many referrals as you prefer by visiting Affiliates > Referrals and press Add button on top left corner of that page. This would be suitable for past orders, but it won’t activate recurring referrals for existing/active subscriptions.
Regarding existing/active subscriptions you have two options at the moment. Both of them apply for Affiliates with WooCommerce Subscriptions running on your system.
The easiest way would be to add referrals manually either each time you receive a payment or after longer intervals. For example, if your subscription intervals are monthly, you can add referrals for this subscription after six months for instance and grant an amount that would equal commissions for six months’ renewals.
The hard and tricky way, would be to use fake subscription purchases. For each of your subscriptions the admin can make another fake purchase, mark the payment and the order as completed. Each time your customer renews the subscription for a real subscription, a renewal will be requested for the fake one and the admin should mark the payment as received.
For example user George has a subscription with a 10USD monthly renewal price.
The admin should buy the same subscription using an affiliate link.
Whenever there is a renewal/recurring payment completed by George, the admin should mark the equivalent recurrence as paid, for his fake subscription.
Kind regards,
George
