Affiliate Sign up not working for Registered Users

I have all the registration settings correct and have set up a new form that works ONLY for NEW users https://barefut.com/affiliate-registration/

However, 95% of our affiliates are existing users and when they complete the registration form, it does not send out an email and it does not save their information in their user profile. https://barefut.com/wp-admin/profile.php

You can test this by registering a new user https://barefut.com/my-account/ and then registering as a new affiliate https://barefut.com/affiliate-registration/ and then navigating to https://barefut.com/wp-admin/profile.php

I just tested again, and affiliates are approved, but pre-existing customers DO NOT receive the email.

    1. Register as a customer: https://barefut.com/my-account/

    2. Then register as an affiliate: https://barefut.com/affiliate-registration/

To validate that emails are sent for non-registered users, log out and then register as an affiliate https://barefut.com/affiliate-registration/

    1. Hi Phillip,

That’s correct, what happens it that we take the default action as basically sending an email with the username and password to the new affiliate if it’s a new registration, it isn’t sent when it’s an existing user so as to not duplicate this. Also the effect of signing up as an existing user is that they immediately have their affiliate area available so sending this information would be rather redundant.

      Cheers

Thank you… it is working!! However, for existing users they are not receiving the Affiliate welcome email.

Non-registered applicants receive the welcome emails, but registered users (90% of my applicants) do not receive the email.

You can test this by registering a new user https://barefut.com/my-account/ and then registering as a new affiliate https://barefut.com/affiliate-registration/ and the email will not be sent. You can verify that the welcome email works for non-registered users by completing an application while logged out.

Thank you for your attention to this issue.

      Perfect 🙂
I test your page, but the affiliate is not approved. I don’t know how you do it because the affiliates are automatically approved, maybe this is the cause because the email is not sent.

  3. Ok. Are all plugin users experiencing this, or is it just me?

  4. Thanks! Do you have an estimated time frame that you think it could be resolved? Would it be easier if I provided you with a login?
